Natural Dyed Scarf #5

In the Tz'utujil community of San Juan la Laguna, Guatemala the women use only organic natural dyes - some of which are found in their surroundings and others which are grown in their plant nursery. This community also has an active group of women who grow and produce medicinal plants. Alternate open and closed weave with ikat design in gold. The dye used was pericon which is a plant used medicinally and as a culinary herb. Fringe on both ends. 11" x 80"
